Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Stormline app (“Stormline”, “the app”) uses, and why. Stormline is made by Andrew Arteaga (“I”, “me”), an independent developer. The short version: Stormline has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your game progress stays on your device.
1. Summary
| Topic | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account or sign-in | None. Stormline does not ask for your name, email, phone number or Apple ID details. |
| Game progress and settings | Saved only on your device, inside the app. |
| Payments | Handled entirely by Apple. I never see your card or billing details. |
| Online play (optional) | Your device connects to a Stormline game server to play a match. Only what’s needed to run the match is sent. |
| Advertising, analytics, tracking | None. Stormline contains no ad, analytics or tracking code, and does not use the advertising identifier. |
| Selling or sharing data | Never. |
2. Information stored on your device
To remember your progress, Stormline saves a small amount of game data in the app’s local storage on your iPhone. It is not sent to me. This includes:
- Unlocks — which map packs, cosmetics and gun upgrades you own.
- Equipped items and loadout — your chosen outfit, skins, tracers, guns and gear.
- Tokens — the in-game currency you earn by playing. Tokens have no cash value.
- Purchase records — the product ID and Apple transaction ID of each verified purchase, so the same purchase isn’t applied twice.
- Settings and stats — graphics quality, your online call sign and server address, and basic match stats.
This data stays on your device until you delete the app, which removes it. If you reinstall, you can get your purchases back with Restore Purchases (see Support); earned tokens and stats are not restored.
3. In-app purchases
Stormline offers optional in-app purchases (for example map packs, cosmetics and gun upgrades). All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using Apple’s StoreKit. When you buy something:
- Apple handles the payment and shows its own purchase screen. Your payment details are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- The app receives a verified transaction from Apple (the product ID and transaction IDs) and uses it on your device to unlock the item.
- I do not receive your name, Apple ID, email address or payment information. Apple may provide me with aggregated, anonymous sales reports.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Online play
Online play is optional. If you choose Online and connect to a match, your device opens a connection to a Stormline game server. To run the match, the server receives:
- Your call sign — the in-game name you type (up to 14 letters/numbers). It is shown to the other players in your room. Please don’t use your real name or personal information.
- The room code, mode, map and weather you pick.
- Your loadout and gameplay inputs (movement, aim, shots, orders) during the match.
- Your IP address, which every internet connection reveals to the server it connects to. It is used only to deliver the connection.
Match data is kept in the server’s memory only while the room exists. The server may keep short technical logs (such as call sign, room code, match start/end and errors) to keep the service running and fix problems; these logs are not used for advertising or profiling, are not sold or shared, and are deleted routinely. There is no chat feature in the app. The server provider that hosts the game server processes this data only on my behalf.
5. What I don’t collect
Stormline does not collect or access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, location, health data, browsing history, or device advertising identifier. It does not use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
6. Children
Stormline is a game with combat themes and is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app has no accounts and keeps progress on the device, it does not ask for anyone’s age or identity. If you believe a child has entered personal information (for example as a call sign) during online play, contact me and I will delete any related logs.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your data: delete the app from your iPhone. This removes all game data stored on the device.
- Avoid online data: play offline against bots; nothing is sent to a game server.
- Requests: depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its use. Because I hold almost no data about you, most requests can be met by deleting the app, but you can always contact me and I’ll respond within 30 days.
8. This website
stormlinegame.com does not use cookies, analytics or third-party trackers, and loads no outside fonts or scripts. Like any website, the hosting provider’s servers automatically record standard access logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) for security and reliability.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app’s update notes.
